To all my NYC friends who don’t have to pay for gas…
As a journalist in the beginning stages of my career, there are certain luxuries in life I can’t afford any longer. Clothing, cupcakes and lattes are just a few. Gas could be next. The national average is $3.51 today. I can hear my dad now… “When I was your age, gas was 75 cents.” Thanks dad, but that doesn’t help much right now.
Where I live, the average is still low at $3.37, although I haven’t seen that number for a long time now. Most are hanging around the $3.45 mark. As nasty as it is here, I sure feel bad for those cabbies in NYC who are forcing to shell out over $4 a gallon.
Pretty interesting map, if you click through it shows you the average gas price by county.
